About this work
A Japanese woodblock print showing two red-crowned cranes in flight against a large orange-red sun set in a pale blue-green sky. Smaller birds fly in the upper right, and stylized green and peach waves curl across the lower right. The work is the first plate of the Kachō gafu album by Kōtei Fukui, dated 1898.
