About this work
This two-panel Japanese woodblock print shows women, children, and attendants in kimono moving through a New Year's setting with pine and willow trees, a wooden gate, and traditional tiled buildings. Figures on the rooftop and a procession with a drum and a decorated pine stand add festive detail.
