About this work
A color political cartoon shows a limp tiger lying on a bed, its tail tied with a striped ribbon, while a priest in a black cassock and a man in a top hat each attach wired battery boxes to its body. A sign reads "The Tammany Tiger Executed by the People, November 6, 1894," and the work is attributed to John Samuel Pughe and dated 1894.
