About this work
A colored lithographic print shows Uncle Sam and a woman in a striped and star-patterned costume dancing together before the domed Capitol building. Around them, personified figures labeled Cuba, Porto Rico, Labor, Capital, Farmer, Philippines and Hawaii join in the dance, while a small cupid figure holds a stick in the center. The work was published in 1900 by John Samuel Pughe.
