About this work
A chromolithographic political cartoon by Bernhard Gillam, dated 1885, titled 'The soul of Blaine' still on the rampage. It shows a crowd of richly costumed, caricatured men marching down a narrow medieval-style street lined with timber-framed houses, while onlookers lean from upper windows. A scroll labeled 'Black List' is held by one of the figures.
