About this work
A man kneels on a mat before a red-framed folding screen decorated with a bare plum branch, carefully handling folded paper sheets on the floor. A large bronze brazier and a stack of paper sit nearby, and inscriptions in the upper area accompany the scene. The print is attributed to Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) and dated 1832.
