About this work
A stylized print shows two dark frogs in mid-leap across concentric white ripples on a grey pond, with a third frog perched on a tan lily pad at upper right. A bold black-outlined title band with decorative lettering sits across the top, and vertical Japanese text runs along the right edge. This print is the cover of Hototogisu, dated March 10, 1905, by Asai Chū.
