About this work
A lithograph titled Tight Rope Performer, made by Yasuo Kuniyoshi in 1938, shows a woman in a dark leotard and wide sash raising one arm while balancing on a wire. The figure is lit against a shadowy, hatched background, with a balancing pole and rope cutting diagonally across the lower half of the composition.
