A kneeling woman in flowing layered robes, rendered in loose ink wash with touches of pink, leans toward a tall candle stand whose flame rises at the left. The figure's long dark hair falls over a shoulder, and a signature with a red seal appears at the lower right. The work is catalogued as Stand-in Monju by Kawanabe Kyōsai, dated to the 1800s.
