About this work
A woodblock print shows a wooden two-story townhouse on a rain-soaked street at dusk, with paper lanterns glowing in the windows and under the eaves. Figures with umbrellas and a flower stall with red blossoms stand near the storefront, and lantern light reflects across the wet pavement. This print by Yoshida Hiroshi is dated 1929 and is held by the Portland Art Museum.
