About this work
A colour print shows a group of frontiersmen in fringed buckskin garb, with hats labelled with famous frontier names, gathered on a grassy clearing. A young boy in a khaki scout uniform with a red neckerchief stands before them beside a small campfire and a white tent, while a wooden fence and pine-covered hills appear behind. The work is by Will Crawford and dates to 1912, and it is held in the pdx collection as a print.
