About this work
A colour lithograph by Will Crawford, dated 1908, shows a mounted cowboy in a white hat and blue neckerchief riding a brown horse along a dirt road. Ranch workers with tools, a log cabin, haystacks and distant mountains fill the scene, while a group of top-hatted men in suits watches from the right. The work is a caricature-style print with exaggerated figures and a broad, colourful landscape.
