About this work
A colored print in the style of a political cartoon shows a grand medieval-style pageant in a wooded setting, with knights bearing banners and shields, a central figure in armor on a green field, and a crowned figure seated on a throne at the left. Labels on the shields and figures identify political personalities, and a white swan appears beside the central knight. The work is attributed to Carl Hassmann and dated 1906.
