About this work
A crowded caricature lithograph shows a throng of uniformed figures, each representing a different nation, pressing toward the entrance of a building labeled Palace of Peace beneath a dove emblem. A figure on a ladder holds a sign advertising armor plate for sale by Krupp-like dealer Andy, U.S.A. and scattered toys and spent cartridges lie on the ground. The work is by Carl Hassmann and dates from 1905.
