About this work
A woodblock-style print from Unai no tomo Pl. 130 by Shimizu Seifū, dated 1913, shows a radial spider web built of black spokes and pale concentric threads over soft grey and yellow tones. Vertical Japanese calligraphy in the upper right accompanies the image, and the web's dew-like dots and central knot are clearly rendered.
