About this work
A page of hand-coloured playing cards, each framed in gold and showing striped green, white and red spherical motifs topped with pink blossoms and white ribbon-like forms. The cards are arranged in a grid of five, with varying numbers of the decorative balls on each. This print, Unai no tomo Pl. 208, is attributed to Shimizu Seifū and dated 1913.
