About this work
A hand-colored illustration shows a three-tiered stacked container with square-cornered lids, tied together by a yellow braided cord with a loop at the top. Each tier is decorated with repeated blue, purple, green, and red leaf motifs, and the lids bear bold black characters, with a column of Japanese handwritten text beside the object. The work is a print from 1913 by Shimizu Seifū, titled Unai no tomo, plate 111.
