About this work
A woodblock print showing pedestrians crossing a long wooden bridge over a shallow river, some holding parasols and carrying bundles. Beyond the water, rows of rooftops line the bank beneath a green wooded hill, with a pagoda and blossoming trees visible among the buildings. This Kyoto print is attributed to Utagawa Hiroshige and dated 1855.
