About this work
A hand-colored plate titled Lambrequin Double Feston à Chûtes shows a window treatment with a blue pelmet, gold silk swags, and deep blue curtains edged in maroon fringe. Sheer lace panels hang behind the curtains, and tasseled tiebacks frame the sides. The sheet is from Le Magasin de Meubles, published and drawn by Victor Léon Michel Quétin, dated 1832 to 1904.
