About this work
A Japanese woodblock print titled Otsu, attributed to Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) and dated 1835-1845. It shows an intimate scene of a man and a woman on a balcony overlooking a lake with boats, distant mountains and multi-storey buildings, framed by a red and black pillar with a cartouche bearing the place name.
