About this work
This hand-coloured architectural plan shows the ground floor of the Opéra-Comique, with its auditorium, foyers, staircases and service rooms rendered in red wash and fine line work. The surrounding streets and the Place Boieldieu are indicated in pale blue, and the drawing carries the signatures of the designer, Edouard Larché, and the date 1893.
