A black and white engraved scene shows French soldiers in uniform standing among a group of figures in North African dress inside a striped tent, with a kneeling woman holding up an infant and armed men raising rifles. In the foreground a soldier tends to a fallen comrade while a fallen figure lies on a patterned rug. The print is titled La Victoire, after Jules Alfred Vincent Rigo, engraved by Jean-Pierre-Marie Jazet, and dated 1857.
