About this work
A decorative lithographic trade card shows an elaborate rococo scrollwork border framing an empty central cartouche. The border is filled with clocks, pocket watches, silver tea and coffee services, jewelry, and figures of cherubs and classical statues. Handwritten at the top is a filing notation dated April 1861, and the print is credited to Gibson & Co. Lith. with a 1861 date.
