About this work

A hand-colored lithograph shows the clipper ship Red Jacket with full sails moving through icy water near Cape Horn, with floating ice blocks, icebergs, penguins and seabirds around it. The print carries the title, the note that it was built by Geo. Thomas Esq. at Rockland, Me. in 1853, and the publisher Currier, New York.
