About this work
This 1783 print by John Boyne titled Banditti shows a group of exaggeratedly costumed men gathered around a table in a rocky, cave-like setting. A large bowl, a goblet, and a tankard sit on the table, and dice are scattered near one of the figures. The caricatured faces and dress give the scene a satirical tone.
