About this work
A color lithographic poster advertising a baseball game between the Biddefords and the Portlands at the Granite St. Grounds in Biddeford, Saturday, May 16th. It shows a masked catcher in a red striped uniform crouched beside a mustached batter in blue and white striped clothing, holding a wooden bat over a home plate on a grassy field. The print was made by Clay & Richmond in 1885.
