About this work
A hand-coloured star chart shows the constellation Pisces as two fish joined by a red ribbon-like cord against a deep blue sky. Gold star symbols mark the stars, with faint halos around some of them, and white lines denote celestial circles. The print is attributed to Johann Bayer and dated 1603.
