About this work
A hand-colored star chart shows the figure of Aquarius, a draped male figure pouring water from a red urn while holding a flowing cloth, set against a blue night sky marked with yellow stars and Greek letter labels. The water stream descends across the lower left of the composition, and faint white lines trace the constellation boundaries. The print is attributed to Johann Bayer and dated 1603.
