About this work
A painted celestial chart shows the constellation Equuleus as a horse's head emerging from a cloud, with yellow starburst markers placed on the figure and scattered across a deep blue night sky. The star markers in the upper left form a separate cluster, and a thin horizon line runs across the lower part of the sheet. This is Equuleus by Johann Bayer, dated 1624.
