About this work
A watercolor and ink sketch shows an anthropomorphic rabbit in a blue patterned robe walking beside a raccoon dog carrying a large bundle of brushwood on its back. The figures move across a pale ground with small tufts of grass along a low horizon. This page is from an album of sketches by Utagawa Hiroshige, dated ca. 1850.
