About this work
A woodblock print titled Morning Glories and Tree Frog, attributed to Katsushika Hokusai and dated c. 1833-34. Morning glory blossoms in blue, white, pink, and brown tones climb through dense green ivy-like leaves against a pale cream ground. The composition is layered with flowers at varying heights, and a curling tendril extends toward the upper left.
