About this work
A hand-colored lithograph titled Margarita, attributed to Joséphine Ducollet, shows a young woman with dark hair crowned with blue flowers, daisies, and red poppies. She holds a small bouquet of daisies and a poppy in her hands and wears a white blouse with a purple laced bodice and star-shaped gold earrings. The print carries the series label Nouvelles Études Variées, No. 90, with publication details for Paris, Berlin, London, and New York.
