About this work
A colored lithographic caricature titled Parodia del trovatore, attributed to Augusto Grossi and dated 1878, shows a woman in a white dress weeping beside a stone marker inscribed Trattato del 1840. Figures in national costume, a man playing guitar in a rowboat, and a seated figure at a table labeled Santo Stefano appear among fortress walls and a crescent moon.
