About this work
This chromolithographic caricature from 1882 shows animals and uniformed figures climbing and fighting over tall pine poles, with a wall inscribed "Panslavismo" between them. A white wolf with a ruble sack and a red flag bearing a crescent appear on the left, while a black bear and a brown bear contend on the right, with bilingual captions below. The work is attributed to Augusto Grossi and dated 1882.
