About this work
A colored lithograph titled Osteria della politica, created by Augusto Grossi in 1877, presents a satirical tavern scene filled with caricatured figures. Men in exaggerated costumes brawl beside an overturned chair, while a large cake labeled with a city name is carried through the room and a garment marked Regno Ungarico is displayed on the stairs.
