About this work
A hand-colored lithographic caricature titled Un'infornata di nuovo genere, from Papagallo No. 24, Anno VI, shows uniformed figures in a tug of war over a pole while a seated man with a striped red vest is pulled at from both sides. Onlookers peer over a brick wall behind them, and the caption beneath reads in Italian.
