About this work
A colour political cartoon shows two large turkeys with caricatured human faces, one brown and one white, facing each other across a dirt path before a domed government building. Around them run numerous yellow chicks labelled with policy terms such as Income Tax, Rate Regulation, Anti Wall St. and Reciprocity. The print is titled The puzzled chicks, made by John Samuel Pughe in 1907.
