About this work
A colored political cartoon shows a large brown moose with its antlers marked as government ownership and initiative and referendum, while antlers labeled imperialism (shed in 1904) and free silver (shed in 1900) lie on the ground. Four white-bearded owls perch in a tree nearby, and a tree trunk bears the words party opposition. The print is attributed to John Samuel Pughe and dated 1907.
