About this work
A multi-panel cartoon print showing a central figure swept up in a whirlwind of postcards, surrounded by four scenes: explorers at a North Pole postal stand, a desert traveler at postboxes beside a camel, a castaway with parrots and a monkey, and a devil with a trident greeting a newcomer. The composition satirizes the souvenir postcard craze. Titled How Many Have You Sent, by John Samuel Pughe, 1906.
