About this work
A colour lithograph by John Samuel Pughe, dated 1897, titled He's back again! It shows a large pig in a top hat, monocle and checked waistcoat strutting into a legislative chamber, holding a placard that demands prohibitory tariffs and a tag labelled Protection Glutton. Seated officials and onlookers in the gallery react to the intrusion, while a gavel rests on the presiding desk.
