About this work
A colored lithographic caricature shows a row of men in medieval outlaw costumes, parodying the Robin Hood legend, with labels such as McCurdy, Hyde, Depew, Hegeman and McCall. Props like a lute labeled insurance, a bag labeled retainer and a bag labeled loans give the figures satirical roles. The work is by John Samuel Pughe and is dated 1905.
