A colored lithograph by John Samuel Pughe, dated 1902, shows a caricatured man in a yellow oilskin wading into surf to haul a lifeboat labeled National Honor, with an oar inscribed Reciprocity. Onlookers on the beach beneath a Republican Congressional Station flag watch, while a distant ship flying a Cuba flag appears on the horizon.
