About this work
A colored lithographic caricature shows a crowded parade of horse-drawn coaches and carriages, each carrying exaggerated figures in top hats and frock coats. Coach panels carry labels such as Republican Harmony Coach, Thespis, and Meavenly Hack, and the figures are drawn as political caricatures. This print by Frederick Burr Opper, dated 1883, was issued as part of the Puck magazine series.
