About this work
A color lithograph titled A Christmas reminder by Udo Keppler, dated 1901, shows a seated bearded man in a dark suit studying plans for the Carnegie Library while a winged cherub gestures toward a pair of elderly visitors at the doorway. A model of a library building sits on the desk beside a fireplace, under a painting titled The Good Samaritan above a marble statue.
