About this work
A full-length caricature of a stout man in a red fez, blue coat, and striped trousers, playing a large yellow trombone while standing on a patch of grass and stones. The exaggerated proportions and bright hand-colored printing give the figure a comic, poster-like character. The work is catalogued as Trombone player by René Ackermann, dated 1906-1918.
