About this work
This Japanese woodblock print shows a canal in Edo lined with white plastered warehouses with tiled roofs, crowded with wooden boats and workers carrying goods. A stone bridge spans the water in the distance, with a pagoda and Mount Fuji visible beyond the rooftops under a gradient sky.
