About this work
This Japanese print from 1913 by Shimizu Seifū shows two folk figurines against a cream background. Above sits a white cat with black markings and yellow eyes, and below a black ox with a white saddle stripe and blue horns and muzzle carries an elderly woman in a red robe. Japanese inscriptions label each figure beside it.
