About this work
This page from Unai no tomo, plate 174, shows three painted folk toys arranged vertically: a white figure with pink ears and red lips, a red and white striped figure with black accents, and a grey scale-patterned bird with a yellow head. Japanese inscriptions run alongside the figures. The work is attributed to Shimizu Seifū and dated 1913.
