About this work
A printed plate from the 1913 book Unai no tomo by Shimizu Seifū shows two doll-like figures in patterned robes of red, grey and green with pine and plum motifs. Vertical handwritten Japanese text appears at the upper left, and the figures are rendered in flat colour with simple outlines.
