About this work
This woodblock print shows a coastal town on a bay, with a row of tiled-roof houses in the foreground and thatched-roof buildings along the shore. Sailboats with white sails and several moored boats float on the blue water beneath a pink and purple sky, and small figures with umbrellas walk along the street. The work is credited to Utagawa Hiroshige and is catalogued as part of the Tokaido gojusantsugi series, plate 02.
